Midterm Fall 2020
This is my picture "Stormtrooper at the Conservatory."
I took this at the Franklin Park Conservatory.
This picture has a really nice leading line. It leads to my subject helping to draw your eye to it. Its color is also good since the LEGO Stormtrooper is white and, for the most part, most of the picture is green and grayish. The white really contrasts with the green helping it draw attention. This picture also has a cool perspective. I have the camera down around the level of the railing looking down it. The railing also lines up with the rule of thirds. The bar holding up the railing is on the right verticle third line. Both the top right and lower left focal points are on the railing. The background also has some patterns with the bricks in the path. So in all, this picture has leading lines, color, perspective, rule of thirds, and some patterns!!!
This is my picture "Six Feet."
I also took this at the Franklin Park Conservatory.
This picture has good color. Most of the picture is black and gray, so the bright orange really pops out. It also has an interesting perspective because it looks down from above the subject. The sign is slightly crooked giving it a less formal and more intriguing perspective. This picture is very balanced. If you drew a vertical line through the middle, then there are three feet on each side and half the orange circle. Lastly, the background has a pattern in the bricks. So, this picture has color, perspective, balance, and patterns!
