Yellow Blossom Project 1

This is my picture "Yellow Blossom."

I took this picture at the River Bluff area of Highbanks Park.

This picture uses the rule of thirds and color. I have the flower lined up to the leftmost line of thirds with the stem starting at the lower left focal point. In the background, the field of flowers takes up one third, the trees take up the middle third, and the sky occupies the last third. The background uses mostly faded out greens and yellows, with the sky almost appearing white. In the foreground, the flower is strikingly yellow which immediately brings it to the viewer's attention. The hand also contrasts with the background.
